देहरादून। लंबे इंतजार और मंथन के बाद आखिरकार कांग्रेस ने हरिद्वार और नैनीताल लोकसभा सीट से प्रत्याशियों के नाम का ऐलान कर दिया है। शनिवार देर शाम जारी 40 प्रत्याशियों की सूची में हरिद्वार लोकसभा सीट से पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री हरीश रावत के बेटे वीरेंद्र रावत को चुनाव मैदान में उतर गया है तो वही नैनीताल लोकसभा सीट से प्रकाश जोशी को कांग्रेस ने अपना प्रत्याशी बनाया है।
शनिवार तक काफी माथापच्ची के बाद आखिरकार कांग्रेस ने अलग-अलग राज्यों के 46 प्रत्याशियों की अपनी चौथी सूची जारी कर दी है जिसमें उत्तराखंड की दो लोकसभा सीटों पर भी प्रत्याशियों का ऐलान किया गया है। कांग्रेस ने जो सूची जारी की है उसमें सबसे ज्यादा मध्य प्रदेश की 12 सीटों पर प्रत्याशियों का ऐलान किया है इसके अलावा उत्तर प्रदेश की 11, तमिलनाडु की 7, राजस्थान की 3, मणिपुर और जम्मू कश्मीर की 2-2, मिजोरम, पश्चिम बंगाल, अंडमान निकोबार और असम की एक-एक सीट के लिए प्रत्याशियों की घोषणा की है।
देश के बाकी राज्यों के साथ सबसे ज्यादा इंतजार उत्तराखंड की दो लोकसभा सीटों का था जबकि इससे पहले कांग्रेस तीन लोकसभा सीटों पर अपने प्रत्याशियों के नाम का ऐलान कर चुकी है। पिछले एक हफ्ते से एआईसीसी में उत्तराखंड की नैनीताल और हरिद्वार लोकसभा सीट से प्रत्याशी के नाम के लिए मंथन किया जा रहा था।
हरिद्वार लोकसभा सीट पर नाम फाइनल करने के लिए चर्चा इस बात की विधि की पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता हरीश रावत अपने बेटे वीरेंद्र रावत को टिकट देने पर अड़े हुए थे जबकि आलाकमान कुछ और ही चाहती थी लेकिन लंबे मंथन के बाद आखिरकार हरीश रावत अपने बेटे को टिकट दिलवाने में कामयाब रहे।
वहीं दूसरी तरफ कांग्रेस ने नैनीताल लोकसभा सीट से कांग्रेस के पूर्व राष्ट्रीय सचिव प्रकाश जोशी को अपना उम्मीदवार बनाया है प्रकाश जोशी उत्तराखंड के साथ-साथ कांग्रेस की राष्ट्रीय राजनीति में भी सक्रिय रहे हैं यही कारण है कि कांग्रेस शीर्ष नेतृत्व में उनके नाम पर भरोसा जताया है।
